This volume contains papers contributed by senior scholars from both India and abroad who have first-hand and longstanding experience in Indian archaeology. The papers aim to synthesize existing knowledge on major topics in Indian archaeology. These topics cover prehistory, proto-history, rock art, historical and medieval archaeology, scientific studies, human skeletal biology and dating methods.
