This book is an easy to understand definition of Hinduism written for the beginner. A section of this book is on this web site. Besides the basics of Hinduism, there are also sections on Vedic astrology, gemology and Vastu Sastra. There are also some useful terms described in reference to gemology. Vastu Sastra is the Vedic or Indian science of building. By building a house under the rules of Vastu Sastra it can influence the fortunes of the residents. This book gives some ideas how one should build a house in a way that will have a positive influence on the people living in it. It also describes how the things should be placed in the inside of the house. There is also a description of what decisions should be made before a house should be purchased.
