Gorgias

In this second compilation of Socratic Dialogues from Plato's Early Period, featuring David Rintoul as Socrates alongside a full cast, six contrasting works unfold. The recording begins with Gorgias, where Socrates engages in a direct conversation with Gorgias, a prominent sophist teacher, and his pupil, Callicles, tackling the themes of sophistry and rhetoric. Meno follows, with Socrates debating the concept of 'virtue' with Meno, another disciple of Gorgias. The discussion on virtue continues in Protagoras, where Socrates, narrating most of the dialogue, reports on a conversation that occurred shortly before, delving into the intricacies of this philosophical topic.
