Go up higher; or, Religion in common life

Go Up Higher; or, Religion in Common Life by James Freeman Clarke (1810-1888) emphasizes the integration of spiritual values into everyday living. Clarke, a Unitarian theologian and reformer, advocates that religion should not be confined to ritual or doctrine but expressed through moral action, social responsibility, and personal growth. The work reflects his progressive outlook, urging readers to elevate ordinary life through faith, compassion, and justice. It illustrates Clarke's vision of religion as a practical guide for higher living in society.
