Gleanings from Indian Classics

In this book discusses the earliest recorded religion in history that of the Hindus, which precedes the religions of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Hinduism stands out as a unique and extensive belief system, unlike any other in civilized societies. Rather than being a singular structure, it resembles a grand palace with multiple layers, integrating various religions. Its theology, mythology, and scriptures are vast, requiring devoted study to comprehend fully. Hinduism is not mere superstition or paganism; instead, it exudes awe-inspiring profundity. A remarkable address at the Parliament of Religions beautifully captures the essence of Hinduism, embodying the lofty ideals of this ancient faith.
