The book is the product of extensive study of this topic. The subject of the book is very interesting and delicate. There is no statement in the book to which exception may justly be taken. The six maps require a word of explanation. These are confined to the history of Delhi and surrounding area. The book will be immensely beneficial to the students of the ancient history and literature. Though the book is a rare one, it may be recognized even by those who dissent from the authors’ point of view.
