A bird calendar for northern India

A Bird Calendar for Northern India by Douglas Dewar (born 1875) is a charming and informative guide to the seasonal habits of birds native to northern India. Organized month by month, the book records observations on bird behavior, nesting, migration, and song patterns. Written in an engaging and accessible style, it serves both amateur birdwatchers and naturalists. Dewar’s work reflects a deep appreciation for Indian avifauna and remains a valuable contribution to ornithological literature from the British colonial period.
