Yogayog revolves around the Ghoshals and the Chatterjees, who are neighbours and sworn competitors. The rivalry between these two families has existed for a long time. To extend an olive branch, it is proposed that Kumudini, the youngest daughter of the Chaterjees, be married to Madhusudan Ghoshal.
Kumudini has been brought up to be a submissive, pious woman. Expecting Madhusudan to be like the gods she worships, she is rudely awakened to the crassness of her husband after marriage.
