Sind, now spelt sindh, is a large area of what now is Pakistan. In this concise book of about 100 ages the author endeavors to offer essays on different aspects of Sindh. The book is divided into 10 chapters that describe the various regions of Sindh and the legends and histories associated with them. A dynasty, the Sumrahs find particulars mention. The climate and the physical features are noticed too. The book has 5 appendices that describe quaint highlights of the region. The book ends with 10 small maps that illustrate the conceptions of the Indus delta and the Rann of cutch. The chapters are headed under the Ran of Cutch, Babal, Bakhar, Tatha, the Alor Bund, the Sumrahs, Alexandrian traditions. The appendices areKhawja Khizr, the Daryapanthis, the Indus boat, Mathelo and Moghul bin.
