Life Beyond Conventions: Journey of a Small Town Girl to a Big City

Life beyond Conventions is the story of Naina who is born and brought up in the small town of Yamuna Nagar. Naina and her brother Priyanshu are acutely conscious of their father?s limited financial means. Naina feels curbed by the various impositions placed on her by her family and the way girls are expected to behave in a small town society. Naina continuously rebels against the restrictions imposed on her especially because she is a girl and is determined to break out of it for a better life. She leaves the precincts of Yamuna Nagar to study further and pursue her dream of becoming a software engineer. She comes to Delhi and is exposed to big city life for the first time. She loves the glitz and the glamour enjoyed by girls of her age in Delhi. She also goes against her family?s wishes of getting her married to Jaison.
