The present study evaluates the interface between leisure and crime in the Muslim community from a sociological perspective in the context of jordanian society.
The book starts with the general back-ground description about the jordanian society. While on the one hand, it traces the prevalence of the concept of leisure in ancient civilizations, like Greek, Roman and Egyptian, on the other hand it also delves deep into the Islamic concept of leisure as illustrated by the teachings of holy Qur’an and Hadiths of the Prophet of Islam. At the same time, the book also highlights the Islamic perspective on crime as envisaged in the Shariat.
