Gender and Health: A Sociological Insight

This volume has addressed the various health problems related to the Women?s, such as, impact of reproductive technologies, working hazards, widowhood and urbanization upon women?s health. Along with these, issues like women?s reproductive health awareness, life expectancy etc. has also been covered. A gender perspective has been employed while addressing these various aspects. As the articles have been brought in from the various parts of India under their purview, the heterogeneity of the problems associated with women?s health in India has been made explicit.
