This book offers a holistic perspective on the relationship between the developing human and his ecology and from that perspective interlinks the ?Indian? with his ecology. Ecology here refers to both human and material ecology. In India, there are a variety of heterogeneous ecologies.
Ecology is a growing area of importance, given the fact that its definition is becoming a significant subject of study in terms of its preservation and sustainability. Therefore, the action and reaction between man and his ecology in specific given habitats becomes important. The aim of this book is also to stress the importance of this interaction.
