Economic Reforms and Small Scale Industries

This book examines the impact of the New Economic Policy on small scale industries (SSIs) in India, with special reference to Tamil Nadu. Identifying the macro economic policy measures of the New Economic policy for the promotion of SSIs, it analyses the impact of economic reforms on the production, employment and earnings level of the small scale enterprises.
Taking a close look at the institutional and financial arrangements under the new policy in the development of small scale enterprises it reviews the problems faced by them after the implementation of New Economic Policy.
